The Aluminum.Over.Plastic (AOP) Laptop Cooler
This could very well be the best design for a laptop cooler. The AOP laptop cooler consists of an aluminum heat plate mounted on top of a sturdy ABS plastic platform. The design features aggressive curves and styling that protect the user from sharp edges and dangerous points (many aluminum laptop coolers have sharp edges) In addition, the AOP features advanced electronics technology that include: Powered by USB, Adjustable Fan Speed, Fan RPM Speed Display, Temperature Display with Overheating Alarm, and Running LED Lights.

Why the Aluminum Plate?
Now let's think about the materials used to construct the AOP laptop cooler. The reason for the aluminum plate is because aluminum like all metals is a good conductor of heat. That's the same principle used in an automobile radiator. A radiator is called a "RADIATOR" because that's how it cools down the hot engine water. It uses hundreds of little cooling fins to radiate the heat into the atmosphere and like the AOP laptop cooler it also uses a fan to push cool air in and warm air out. Why the Plastic? Now let's switch gears and think about why they used plastic to construct the rest of the AOP laptop cooler. Unlike metal, plastic is a good insulator, so it does the opposite of what the Aluminum plate does. In other words, instead of conducting heat, it insulates you from the heat. Therefore, the plastic is like a heat shield between you and the laptop. In addition to their thermodynamic properties, the Aluminum and Plastic also provide a strong but lightweight stucture to support even the heaviest laptops.

How it works?
Now that we have the ideal materials in place, the cooling process is pretty simple. Ok, the AOP laptop cooler sits beneath your typical laptop. The cooler by itself (without the fans) starts to cool the laptop due to the fact that it creates an "air gap" that allows air to circulate under the laptop. The warm air then transfers heat to aluminum plate. The aluminum readily absorbs the excess heat (due to the conducting properties of metal) and transfers this heat to the surrounding environment. Now let's kick the fans on. The fans will draw cool air from below the AOP laptop cooler and push it up through the aluminum heat plate. This will cool the plate and allow it to absorb more heat from the laptop. In addition, some of the cool air from the fans will head straight to the bottom of the laptop itself and cool it directly.

No Batteries Required!
The AOP Laptop Cooler is powered by a special little cable that plugs into any available USB port on your laptop computer. That means you don't have to buy or replace batteries. It also means you don't have to carry around a bulky AC adapter.

Flat Rate Shipping
We offer flat rate "Ground Shipping" on all our laptop cooler products.  The charge for flat rate shipping is $5.00.  However, the charge for "Air Shipping" is much more expensive because the size and weight of the QuadCooler box.  Unless you need the QuadCooler in a hurry, we highly recommend going with the Flat Rate Ground Shipping.

UP verses DOWN
Unlike the QuadCooler which draws air down into the laptop cooler, the AOP draws air from below the laptop cooler and pushes it up through the little holes in the Aluminum heat plate. Not only does it cool the heat plate, but much of the cool air passes straight through to the laptop itself to cool it directly.
